VIEVU engages in the design, development, manufacture, and marketing of wearable video cameras for the worldwide law enforcement market. VIEVU has distributed its products throughout the U.S. as well as in 15 International Countries. VIEVU cameras come with video file management software, named VERIPATROL, which provides a chain of custody for secure video files and documents their authenticity for later use in court. VIEVU markets its products utilizing a sales network of inside and outside sales staff, domestic dealers and international distributors. VIEVU LLC was founded in 2007 and is based in Seattle, WA USA. Steve Ward - President and Founder Steve is the President and founder of VIEVU, a manufacturer of wearable video camera systems for law enforcement personnel. His company revolutionizes the way police agencies keep evidence of their daily work and experiences. The liability present in law enforcement actions creates the need for officers, and administrators, to have protection from any unfounded complaint that may arise. The new technology also provides indisputable evidence for later use in the prosecution of criminal cases. Prior to creating VIEVU, Steve was the Vice President of Marketing and International Sales for Taser International.Steve spent the first 13 years of his working career with the Seattle Police Department including 6 years on the SWAT team. During his police career, Steve testified before the WA State legislature, authored numerous studies and articles on non-lethal weapons policies and practices, and completed a review on non-lethal weapons policy for the National Institute of Justice. Steve has an MBA from the Edinburgh Business School, a Certificate from the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business, and a B.S. from the University of Oregon.Heidi Traverso, Director of Business Development Heidi joins VIEVU with a diverse background in government and private industry experience. In 1993, she began her career as a patrol officer with the Seattle Police Department before becoming a Fraud, Forgery, and Financial Exploitation detective. Along with leading the largest investigation in the history of the Seattle Police Department’s fraud unit, Heidi also spent countless hours educating the public sector on identity theft and elder exploitation. Heidi was recognized by the US Dept of Justice, Office of Inspector General, Seattle Prosecuting office and the Economic Crimes Task Force for her work in fraud investigations. Before leaving the Seattle Police Department, Heidi was honored with an award for Outstanding Public Service. In 2006, Heidi joined the private sector at Safeco Insurance where she was a Corporate Security investigator. She created a fraud referral system for Safeco and personally trained 1500 employees which resulted in a 600% increase in fraud cases. Heidi received her bachelors degree from Whitman College and earned a certificate from Seattle Pacific University’s Russian language program and University of Washington’s Forensics certificate program. Steve Lovell, Director of Sales Steve joins VIEVU as the Director of Sales for both National and International Markets. Steve’s focus is to provide public safety with sound innovative tools and suitable technology solutions that support Law enforcement with their efforts in solving crime, gathering data, and increase safety for officers and the community. Steve grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area before joining the United States Marines Corps. After his military service he was hired by the Oakland Police Department in California. He retired with the rank of Sergeant after approximately 20 years of experience. During his law enforcement career his duties included patrol officer, motor officer, SWAT team member, patrol supervisor, criminal investigator and an academy instructor. After leaving law enforcement, Steve was hired by Integrian, an in-car video manufacturer, as a Channel Manager to Motorola, General Dynamics, and Dell computer. He later became the Director of Sales when the company was acquired and managed the National Sales Team. Additional positions include Strategic Sales at Decatur Electronics and Raytheon Channel Manager for ICOP Digital. Currently Steve lives in the Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina with his wife and three sons. Jason Wine, IT & Product Manager Jason comes to VIEVU after a successful career at Liberty Mutual in the following capacities: IT Support Analyst, Sr. Business Analyst and Manager of Corporate Security Systems. During his career, Jason gained extensive experience in desktop support, programming and design, and the administration of servers, PBXs and networks. He has developed high-level enterprise security and infrastructure management systems. Jason has worked with law enforcement entities (including the FBI) in an investigatory capacity by culling forensic and electronic case evidence. Fueled by a quest for perfection in exceptional user experience and products, Jason’s accomplishments continue to propel VIEVU’s products and services to the Nth level. Jason received a B.S. from the University of Washington and holds several IT related certifications from Microsoft and CompTIA. |
