Veripatrol Software

What's New in VERIPATROL for Version 2.2.21

Version 2.2.21 adds the following features:
  • Lockdown Video Security - We have added an additional security feature to prevent access, modification or deletion of a video file by unauthorized users. Once a video has been marked for “Lockdown”, the video can only be accessed by a user with “View Lockdown Video” security. This can be used to prevent the spread and view of highly sensitive videos by the user who recorded the video, users with access to view all videos and administrators. Any user can mark a video for lockdown.

  • Video Loading Progress Bar – A video loading progress bar has been added to give the user a visual sign that the video files are being loaded into the software.

  • Computer wide Server Address/Port configuration – A feature was added to allow for easily setting a computer wide default server address and port in network installations. You will no longer need to update and configure the server address or port for each user of each computer. The computer user will start by using the computer wide default address and port. The user can then choose to customize their own personal server address and port if they need to connect to a different server. To take advantage of this new feature launch the Admin and Client programs after the upgrade is complete and ensure that the “Update Computer Default Address/Port” is checked.

  • MSI Installer Switches – To allow for automated silent installations of the VERIPATROL software in network environments, an installation MSI file has been included with the network installation media that includes support of silent installation switches. Details about the use of the switches and examples are located in the Network Whitepaper that can be accessed at the following link: VERIPATROL Network Whitepaper.
