Technical Support Analyst

Status: Full Time, Employee
Career Level: Experienced (1-5 years)
Location: Seattle, WA
Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years prior experience in customer service/technical support.

 

This position provides technical support to customers, vendors, and retail partners via phone and email. This includes troubleshooting general product and software issues, facilitating returns and documenting resolution steps. This position’s primary responsibility is to assist in all technological aspects of customer service.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to requests for technical assistance via phone and email
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
  • Research problems and questions using available information resources
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
  • Track problems, requests and resolutions
  • Issue and process RMA returned products
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft operating systems ( XP, Vista, 7, 8 ) and Microsoft Office 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Server 2003, 2008 and 2012. Experience a plus. 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server 2005, 2008 and 2012. Experience a plus. 
  • Experience with webpage programing using HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
  • A+ Certification is a plus.

Director of Technology

Status: Full Time, Employee

Department: Technology

Location: Seattle, WA

 

This position is a business leader role that actively oversees and manages VIEVU’s product development processes and customer service organization.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Development

  • Manage and oversee all product development projects, and monitors progress throughout the product development life cycle. Identifies risks and opportunities.
  • Assist with product development including working directly with manufacturers, designers, electrical engineers, and software engineers solving complex challenges.
  • Anticipate and drive issue resolution and manage up as necessary.
  • Responsible for prioritizing all projects within technology roadmap while considering the overall needs of the organization.  Will ensure optimum utilization of available resources for timely development and launch.
  • Approximately 10% International travel.

Customer Service Department

  • Manages customer support department which performs technical support for customers, retail partners, distributors and partners.
  • Manage the RMA program, track statistics, and alert company management to any potential issues.
  • Develops and implements best practice processes and procedures for the team and the department.
  • Position is responsible for reviewing staff work performance to ensure proper training and knowledge of products and improvements.
  • Be as a subject matter expert of VIEVU technologies with prospects and clients as needed.

  • Technical understanding of complex electronics devices and their failure points
  • Understanding of embedded systems, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing
  • Experience and understanding of object oriented software development and multiple technologies including .Net, C++, C#, HTML, Java.
  • Knowledge of product development life cycle, practices, techniques, methodologies, and support tools (MS Project, JIRA)

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years prior experience, or 10 years total experience, in supporting or managing technical products and functions.

Inside Sales Manager – Public Safety Sales

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow up with our current customer base to provide sales assistance, re-establishing and strengthening our relationships with our existing customers.
  • Call potential prospects that may have an interest in Body Worn Video. Determine interest, qualify and establish product evaluations
  • Assist department personnel that are evaluating our products.

  • Ability to accurately forecast sales
  • Computer Skills – Experienced with the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel Programs
  • Ability to maintain records in company CRM, experience with NetSuite CRM a plus.
  • Previous law enforcement or public safety experience a plus.
